Industrial buildings and logistic halls have to be illuminated for safety reasons. However, this could be restricted by spatial and temporal factors: When nobody is in the room, illumination can be reduced to a minimum, in conformity with the required standards. When somebody enters the space, the brightness should be increased only in the specific area where that person is present and only while they remain there. Our system, which consists of a sensor, controller and luminous source, ensures optimal illumination at the right time. The sensor detects the specific current demand and communicates it to the nearby luminous sources within the compound. These now illuminate only the specific area in use.
The luminaire and sensor are working at installation heights of up to 25m (82′) and can be integrated into existing building automation systems, e.g. DALI.
